Executive summary
I am a Controls Engineer specializing in industrial automation, control systems, and large-scale manufacturing environments. My professional work spans PLC and HMI development, electrical system integration, commissioning, validation, and on-site troubleshooting across a range of automated processes. I have designed, programmed, and deployed automation solutions in both high-volume manufacturing and engineered-to-order industrial projects.
Most recently, I have served as a Project Engineer at QSPEC Solutions, where I lead PLC/HMI development, commissioning, SAT execution, system troubleshooting, and project documentation within a GMP-aligned engineering methodology. Prior to this, I worked as a Controls Engineer for Industrial Accessories Company and as an Electrical Engineer for Olin Winchester at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, where I implemented automation hardware (motor drives, servos, machine vision, HMIs), developed PLC logic for Rockwell and Siemens systems, and created procedures and industrial schematics using AutoCAD.
Outside of work, I maintain an advanced homelab environment that includes a custom NAS, DNS/DHCP services, Docker and virtual machine stacks, and self-hosted automation. I also have experience building robots, SLAM systems, and FPGA tooling from previous research and project work. I bring strong technical problem-solving ability, cross-functional collaboration, and a continuous improvement mindset to every engineering role I take on.

What I am Doing
Rocket Slime
After recruiting a team, we hacked into the inner workings of an old 3DS game to translate its proprietary JP-only text and images into EN. Done over a course of years with two releases thus far.
Home Server
Created an UNRAID server for purposes of NAS, media playback, file hosting, private VPN, and network modification.
Firewall
Used homelab to run modified FOSS for blocking ads and malicious traffic, and modifying local DNS requests to point to services on my network.
